This project started as a demonstration of a vfx pipeline, I called her Rachel and I tried to make her as realisitc as I could.
The original 3D model is a raw scan of Ten 24, I did the cleanup, then the re-sculpt and change some details from the original.
A proper retopology was done for production, uv's were done using multiple UDIMS.
For the texturing process I did not use by any means any color information of the scan. I did use some photo references of 3DSK, graded in Photoshop to get that 'cross polarized' feeling, removing specularity, lights and shadows as much as I could. Then in Mari I projected the images and set that as my base information then I did all the skin tone and the proper details of my character as I wanted to be.
Details were some sculpted in ZBrush and inside Mari I painted the high frequency forms taken by the Texturing XYZ tertiary displacements maps.
For the Skin and Hair shader I used the alShaders for Arnold.
Hair and Fuzz were done inside XGen.
